Limited funding is available to support accommodation and conference fees for selected outstanding young researchers from developing countries to participate in this Conference. Travel costs will not be covered by the conference organization.

- Government of La Rioja
The Government of La Rioja offers 4 grants to cover accommodation and conference fees for outstanding young researchers from developing countries (European and USA participants will not be considered for this grant).
Other grants available for all students participating in the conference:
- European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID)
The ESCMID offers 4 awards of 500 Euros each to attend this Conference.
- Spanish Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology (SEIMC)
The SEIMC offers 4 awards of 500 Euros each to attend Conference.
:: How to apply for a grant?
Please, submit your abstract along with your Curriculum Vitae and a completed registration form. The applications will be considered by the Student Grant Committee. Granted applicants will be notified of acceptance after April, 1st 2005.
The application deadline is on February 28th, 2005.

8 grants of $500 (US) will be awarded to participants with outstanding presentations (oral or poster).
:: Selection criteria
Award criteria will include impact data and quality of delivery of oral and poster presentations. The abstracts will be evaluated by all of the officers of ASR who will make the final award decision. Awards will be presented at the Conference Gala Dinner.
